Introduction

Eden Palm Hotel is a 4* property located in St-Anne community, South of the Grande-Terre. This charming hotel is built around a nineteen century Sugar cane Mill. This historical monument is completely renovated and located in the heart of a luxurious tropical garden of 5 acres. The property offers comfort with contrasting views of red and teak wood panelling, Italian tiles, granite and abundant vegetation. You can discover a big variety of flowers and vegetation as well as a fish pond with water lilies.

Location

The airport is at 25 kilometers of the hotel and Bourg Ste Anne, with its typical market and departure dock for Marie Galante Island, is only at 5 kilometers. The seaside town of St François and its marina offering departure for Désirade Island and the natural reserve of Petites Terres, with its international golf, and casino is at 8 kilometers. The protected site of the Pointe des Châteaux is at 15 kilometers. A car rental is highly recommended to discover the area. The closest beach, located at 800 meters, quite wild, is well known to be a surf spot. The best beaches for swimming, and many of them being the most beautiful of Guadeloupe, are accessible within 10 minutes’ drive.

Rooms

Eden Palm Hotel offers 66 rooms and suites built in half a circle around de old mill. They are different categories but all have air conditioned, electronic safe, mini fridge, satellite television, telephone with direct line, bathroom with bath, hair dryer, and toiletries. The bungalows of 20 m² are located in the Creole style buildings. They have a 10 m² terrace with comfortable outdoor furniture, king size bed or two single beds. The Junior Privilege rooms are bigger, 35 m² and are located in the main building. They have a 20 m2 terrace with comfortable outdoor furniture. The Carbet Suites are distributed on 2 levels in the Creole building. They have a terrace of 10 m ² in a mini private hut with comfortable outdoor furniture and loungers. Finally, 5 other luxury suites on two levels are located in Creole house with terrace of 20 m²  in a mini private hut and have as well a Deck with Jacuzzi. They have the same amenities as the suites plus a second TV in the loft, DVD player and a felted decoration with candles and flowers. In all rooms and suites, daily service is maid, and mineral water and flowers on arrival is offered.

Hotel Dining

Dining is an important element of the property: the restaurant “Le Moulin” offers a cuisine with various flavours, Caribbean and international, the wine cave has a list of French wines and champagnes. Breakfast consists of an American buffet. Lunch is available next to the pool from noon to 2 PM. The lunch menu is light items cooked with local flair. Dinner, from 7h30PM to 09h30 PM offers a menu including appetizer and dessert or a la carte items. The bar is located by the pool side and offers rums, creole cocktails, accompanied with accras, and other specialties as well as international alcohols.

Activities

Some activities offer by the hotel are free, like the tennis with racquet lending, the infinity pool of 200 m 2 with jet tub and sundeck, beach towels, Helleux Beach accessible with an electric car (on request), water aerobics (in season), small gym with steam room, and society games. Other activities are also possible at a cost : land and sea tours, ride in 4X4, catamaran cruises, sea scooters, diving, etc.., flights over the vicinity of Saint-François, horses rides, surfing and kite-surfing lessons, green for 18 holes golf, car rental, scooters or bicycles (book before or during the stay, delivery to the hotel).

Finally, the hotel is 24h/24 secure and small dogs on a leash less than 5kg are allowed.
