Introduction

Canouan Estate Resort & Villa showcases suites and stunning 2 to 6 bedroom luxury villas all with pools. All luxury Villas enjoy access to the services provided on the entire Estate, featuring hidden coves, beautiful white sand beaches, championship 18-hole golf course, tennis, water sports, a 17th Century English Church located at the heart of the resort, 5 signature restaurants and bars, Sugar Palm Kids Club and the magnificent Canouan Resort Spa all surrounded by one of the world's largest coral reefs in the heart of the Caribbean.

Location

Canouan Estate Resort & Villa is located in the heart of The Grenadines in the south-eastern Caribbean. Canouan is just five square miles in size and formerly a community of sailors and fishermen. Canouan is accessible by air through four major gateways - Barbados (55 min.), Grenada (20 min.), Martinique (60 min), and Mainland St. Vincent (15 min.) - with connection to Canouan Airport. The most frequent flights to Canouan Island are from Barbados on Grenadine Airways or Liat.com.  Grenadine Airways flies once or twice daily to Canouan Island.  Liat flies a couple of times a week to Canouan Island and continues to Grenada. Alternative transportation to Canouan is available by ferry. Once you are on the Island, transfers are provided by the hotel.

Rooms

In addition to the 2 to 6 bedroom Estate Villas, Canouan Estate Resort & Villa, offers a collection of semi-detached villa suites including Junior, One and Two Bedroom Villa Suites and One and Two Bedroom Villa Pool Suites. With a total of over 825 square feet, the Junior Suites offer a spacious bedroom and living area with king bed or two double beds with terrace. The Villa Suites & Villa Pool Suites come either in One or Two Bedroom (1300 square feet or 1960 square feet). The pool suites feature a private pool. The rooms all come with : 100% Frette cotton terry bath towels and cotton bathrobes, Frette cotton sheets and feather pillows, hairdryer, in-room electronic safe, twice daily housekeeping service, telephone with voicemail, A/C, ceiling fan, satellite flat screen television, DVD player, computer accessible, electricity 220V, 50hz, English plug, adapters provided. Private luxury bathrooms with separate deep soaking tub and shower, large walk in closet, and mini-bar. All suites come with Lavazza Espresso coffee machine with daily complimentary replenishment, and some suites have a large Ocean view or a Resort view terrace and one golf cart per bedroom is offered.

Hotel Dining

The Canouan Estate Resort & Villa, offers a selection of Restaurants located throughout the private estate, available to all residents and villa owners. The Shell Beach Bar & Grill is located in the Villa Community and is open for a light lunch serving sandwiches, salads, grilled seafood and meats at your convenience on the beach. The La Piazza Restaurant offers a tantalising blend of authentic Italian cuisine and an extensive selection of Italian wines. It is open for breakfast and dinner. Romeo e Giulietta, named after the famous Shakespearean characters, offers a selection of international Tapas, sushi, salads and sandwiches with the scenic beauty of the reef and Caribbean Sea. This romantic hideout has a unique concept of Magnum bottle House Wines and a great selection of cocktails named after famous lovers. It is open for lunch and dinner. The Bellini’s Bar and Bistro, named after the famous champagne cocktail that was invented in Harry’s Bar in Venice, Italy - Bellini’s Bar and Bistro is located at the centre of the Resort. It offers an extensive selection of fine cocktails and beverages. Open-air dining at Bellini’s Bar and Bistro offers guests a family friendly, yet elegant atmosphere. It is open for dinner. La Varenne, with spectacular views of The Grenadines, is a fine dining restaurant serving an eclectic mix of French Caribbean delights.  La Varenne is only open at certain times of the year. To enjoy the culinary delights in the comfort of your suite or villa, the Resort offers in villa dining options with a selection of choices from the restaurants. However it is only available in the villas when booking the platinum services package. Finally, private dining on the beach for couples or families is also possible.

Activities

Below is some of the activities offered: White sandy beaches, windsurfing, sunfish sailing. Canouan Resort also has a health Centre, with State of the art running and cycling machines, steppers and elliptical- machine. The spectacular Jim Fazio designed 18-hole championship Golf Course is the Caribbean’s most exciting and challenging. A 150 undulating acres of dramatic hills and seashore, with breathtaking sea views from every angle, it is truly every world-class golfer’s dream. The Resort Spa is located in one of the most spectacular natural settings on earth, inspired by the pristine elements of the Caribbean Sea the winds, sounds and colors of the water.
The following activities are available at the resort and a program can be developed specifically for the guest:
Hike to the highest point on the island Mount Royal and take beautiful pictures of the Grenadines especially at sunset!
Mountain Bikes available to explore the island
Snorkeling inside the bay, protected by one of the largest coral reefs in the Caribbean
Non-motorized water equipment; such as hobie cats, wind surfs, sea-kayaks, hydro bikes…

The signature promotion for the villas is the Canouan Jet Package, which includes roundtrip jet transfers from Barbados when staying 7 nights or more and arriving and departing on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
