Introduction

The Avila Hotel, a former Governor's mansion built around 1780, combines old-world charm with modern day luxury. The mansion is in the heart of the property which includes the main entrance and reception area. Outside, beyond the restaurant area, are two private sandy beaches ideal for swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing.

Location

The Avila Hotel is closed to the capital but remain an oasis of tranquillity. It is close in location yet far away from the hustle and bustle of the historical downtown area of Willemstad.

Rooms

The Avila hotel has 127 rooms and 11 suites of different types. There are also different room types such as La belle Alliance Deluxe, Blues Wing Deluxe, Octagon Superior, Octagon Deluxe and Bolivar Suite, and Octagon preferred & handicapped accessible rooms. All rooms have air conditioning, television, telephone, refrigerator, clock radio, hair dryer and private bathrooms. Other categories offer more amenities like a kitchenette or full equipped kitchen, modem connection and more.

There are 3 restaurants and 2 bars on the property. The restaurants offer a variety of quality, fresh food at every time of the day and night. Savour world cuisine and a “Keshi Yena” specialty that people come to Avila for. Breakfast at the Avila Café, a charming patio restaurant, is a sumptuous buffet offering many choices for all tastes. Tasty snacks and an assortment of beverages are also served throughout the day. The Belle Terrace, open daily for lunch and dinner, features an exquisite a la carte menu with international, Danish and local-island cuisine. The Blues open for dinner, serves succulent lobster-dishes as well as international dishes and this cocktail-Bar & restaurant is the jazz spot in Curacao!

Activities

The Avila hotel offers 2 private beaches that are connected by an elevated boardwalk. There is as well a tennis court, and an outdoor swimming pool. The brand-new Santai Spa  presents a full list of services. Santai means “relaxation” in Indonesian. Santai to Avila means ”the art of giving”. There is a steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi. The Avila fitness club has high tech equipment by Technogym with the latest techniques, built-in T.V.´s, personal chips to keep track of the personal record and many more. There is also a certified personal trainer who can help with the clients program. Wave at the passing cruise ships and enjoy the fabulous ocean view from any of your workout stations. Finally the diving school Ocean Encounters is located nearby.
