Location

Fort Young Hotel, ‘The Key to Dominica” is located on the outskirts of Roseau, the capital of this spectacular and rugged Island in the Eastern Caribbean. The hotel is on the waterfront overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The main international airport Melville Hall is on the north east coast of the Island, and is a scenic 65 minutes drive across the Island to Roseau. The smaller and lesser used airport at Canefield is on the south west coast of the Island, and is less than 20 minutes driving distance to Roseau.

Rooms

All 73 rooms are air-conditioned, with en suite bathroom, and cable Flat screen TV. Room categories include the cozy Fort Room the comfortable which are the smaller rooms located on the old warm section of the Hotel. The Ocean view Rooms are located on the newest section of the Hotel, The Deluxe Oceanfront Room are the larger rooms located on the elevator accessible section of the hotel these rooms have a lounge area and are very spacious and the luxurious Oceanfront Suite. All rooms each have a private balcony with a superb view of the ocean. Complimentary high speed internet access is exclusively available in all room categories.

Hotel Dining

Enjoy International and Creole Style food on the Palisades restaurant. Start your morning with the locally made freshly brewed, coffee and a wide selection from the breakfast buffet with made to order omelets or eggs done to style and taste. Buffet lunches are prepared during the week. Barbecue Buffet dinner is served every Monday night at the Warner’s Bar on the Boardwalk conveniently located close to the Palisades restaurant and offers a variety of tropical drinks overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

Activities

Hotel facilities include Swimming Pool, Sundeck, Jacuzzi, Duty-free Shopping, Massage & Wellness Centre, Fitness Center and a private Jetty, from where dive boats pick-up in-house divers. Island adventure tours, diving, and whale or bird watching tours are easily arranged with the Activities Desk.

The hotel offers multi configuration indoor and outdoor function areas and meeting space. The main Conference room comes complete with a private Secretariat including photocopy machine, fax machine and electronic mail. The Dive Centre, for your dive packages is located on the Fort Young Waterfront area, facing the jetty.
