Introduction

LALUNA is a discreet romantic hideaway quietly nestled on ten acres of untouched land. This exclusive resort of 16 luxurious cottages is surrounded by emerald green hills and a pristine white sand beach. Traditional Caribbean materials are combined in a minimalist style with Indonesian elements. Warm natural tones and sensual textures are used in all the public spaces as well as the interiors of the cottages. Clean architectural elements are evident in all design aspects from the lighting fixtures to the fresh-water pool.

Location

Although totally secluded, the property is a ten-minute drive from both Point Salines International Airport, which is on the south western tip of the island of Grenada, and St.George’s the capital.

Rooms

The 16 one and two bedroom private guest cottages are designed in an open-style plan to take advantage of the panoramic view of the ocean. Generously sized and tastefully appointed bedroom, featuring king-sized beds, which open onto an expansive veranda, framed in natural cotton fabric that serves as an indoor/outdoor living room. A 31 foot square plunge pool is situated on the veranda. All the cottages here at Laluna are identical in size, shape and amenities although they have different colour schemes. They all include plunge pool, day bed, veranda, TV with video, CD player, air conditioning, ceiling fan, wall safe and date port. The difference between them is purely location, either on the beach or at differing heights above the beach on the hillside. They all have ocean views ranging from slightly obscured due to the trees to positively breathtaking.

Hotel Dining

LALUNA’s restaurant opens directly onto the beach, offering guests a romantic view of the bay. The intimate size, with a seating capacity for only 48 diners, will provide the perfect ambiance for guests to experience the tempting dishes prepared by Italian Chef Daniele Gaetano. The restaurant’s unique wine cellar houses popular Italian wines as well as a more select variety from small undiscovered wineries in Italy. These have been specially chosen to perfectly complement the restaurant’s eclectic menu, which will combine fare from the sea with the Italian specialties. Accommodation only OR MAP plan (breakfast and dinner) is offered. The Sunset Bar is a perfect location to recapture the day. It is partially covered with a thatched roof and comfortably furnished with Indonesian daybeds and sofas. The Sunset Bar faces west for maximum ‘sunset appreciation’.

Activities

Mountain bikes, snorkelling, hobie-cat sailing, kayaking are complimentary. Other activities such as golf, deep-sea fishing, island eco-tours, car and moped rentals, scuba diving and certification, sailing trips can be arranged by the front desk. LALUNA offers a small fitness room and The Sanctuary which is comprised of an organic garden, Asian spa and yoga pavilion. The pool is a blue oasis framed by an emerald green sea, located directly on the property's secluded white-sand beach. It is surrounded by a wooden deck, tastefully appointed with teak sun loungers.
