Location

Eden Rock is located on a rocky promontory surrounded by white coral, sandy beaches and a coral reef in St. Jean Bay on the independent French island of St Barts, which is approximately 15 miles southeast of St. Maarten. Eden Rock – St Barts is part of Relais & Chateaux. St Barts is reached by a 10-minute hopper flight or a 40-minute sea ferry from St. Maarten. Flights are available to St Barts from Antigua, San Juan and Guadeloupe. Finally, the concierge who is working with local boat companies can provide private boat transfer and day trips.

Rooms

Eden Rock – St Barts offers 34 highly individual accommodations located “on the rock” as well as dotted along the generous, white coral sandy beach. Each guest accommodation has been individually decorated by Jane Matthews. All accommodations have flat screen satellite television and DVD player, complimentary high speed internet access and Bulgari amenities. Accommodations include daily maid service, nightly turndown service, bathrobes, hair dryers, mini-bars, telephone with direct exterior line, in-room safes, tea and coffee makers, terrace or terraces, and individually controlled air conditioning. Accommodation categories are Garden Cottages (4), Contemporary Beach Rooms (8), Classic Rock Suites (7), and individually named are the Premium Suites Ocean View (5), Heavenly Beach House (3) – all with private Jacuzzi and kitchenette, Diamond Suites (3), and one Big Beach House. Finally, “Eden Rock Estates” is the Hotel’s ultra-luxe, six-star villa product, which includes Villa Rockstar and Villa Nina, both at Eden Rock.

Hotel Dining

Eden Rocks’ restaurants are a must for anyone visiting St Barts. Both restaurants are overseen by the brilliant and attractive French Chef Anne-Cécile Degenne. Anne-Cécile has a cooking team numbering than thirty people. Everything that can be homemade is created fresh and delicious each and every morning. No effort or investment is spared by Eden Rock –St Barts to attempt to make its cuisine world class in every way. The Sand Bar is open for breakfast and lunch and is located directly on the beach. Adjacent to the Sand Bar is The Sand Bar Bar, which serves drinks and offers newspapers for guests and is open all day, every day. On-The-Rocks is open for dinner during the winter and is literally perched “on the rock.” The restaurant was renovated in 2005 and features a look-see kitchen, three levels of dining, a bar and spectacular views over St. Jean Bay. Chef Dufour mixes traditional French-based cuisine with the freshest of local ocean catches, lovely fresh vegetables, meats and other ingredients. Again whatever is possible to be homemade is homemade... The On-The-Rocks bar is open for pre- and post-dinner cocktails. Room service is available 24-hours per day.

Activities

The snorkelling around Eden Rock – St Barts is superb thanks to the coral reef that surrounds the rock. Available from the beach and free of charge to the guests are snorkeling equipment (mask, snorkel and flippers), kayaking, floats, and children toys. Hobby Cats and windsurfing equipment are available for rental on the St. Jean beach. The Eden Rock’s beach area is fully serviced by young and friendly ER personal who arrange teak beach loungers, umbrellas, bar service and beach towels. Lovely fresh fruit and/ or perfect homemade sorbet are brought round every day – again free of charge. ER Wellbeing is not a spa rather it attempts more – by providing a comprehensive range of spa services brought to your own private room – and including every bit of pampering you may require… Eden Rock Wellbeing offers a selection of services including: Massage treatments, facials, hair care and styling, nail care, yoga, personal fitness programs. The gym is located at the foot of the rock and has a full range of Techno Gym equipment for a complete exercise experience.

Services

The concierge can arrange restaurant bookings, flight reservations/confirmations, boat transfer reservations, VIP assistance, wake –up calls, night butler, mail service, scuba diving, fishing, and boat trips around the island. Their motto is: “you think of it and we’ll do it…”Other services are Wi-Fi internet access, daily newspapers in several languages, car hire, scooter, quad and / or boat hire, In-room Wellbeing-service, library with a great choice of books and movie DVDs – all free of charge to ER guests on an honours return system.
