Situated on the French side of St Martin, at the desirable secluded section of Orient Bay, Esmeralda Resort offers the quiet atmosphere of a private club with luxurious villa style accommodations throughout a tropical garden setting among bougainvillea, hibiscus and a coconut grove.

Location

Located on the beach at Orient Bay on the French side of the island, it is 16 kilometres away from the airport in Juliana, 4 kilometres from Grand Case and 10 kilometres from Philipsburg.

Rooms

The hotel offers luxurious villa style accommodations in a tropical garden setting. The 65 rooms are spread out within 18 luxurious villas, each with its own private pool. Graceful, open-air colonial-style architecture and a setting combining refined and intimate ambiance, makes the Esmeralda Resort a truly unique hotel. Rooms are both spacious and exotic with their rattan and natural wood furnishings while maintaining the modern conveniences and comforts of home. Superior rooms have garden view and are located further from the beach. Deluxe rooms are located nearer the beach or may have partial ocean views. Oceanfront rooms are located nearest the beach. These rooms offer king or two double beds, private, furnished terrace, kitchenette and bathroom with bath tub or shower. All rooms contain air conditioning, ceiling fan, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, pool chairs and umbrellas, beach towels, hair dryer, personal safe, and fully equipped kitchenette (stove top burners, electric coffee pot, refrigerator, microwave, and an array of kitchenware).

For the gourmet-connoisseurs, Esmeralda Resort provides 2 restaurants:
At the centre of the resort is L’Astrolabe Restaurant. Enjoy indoor and pool-side dining in a warm and elegant atmosphere. Coco-Beach Bar and restaurant, directly on the beach a short walk from your room, is open throughout the day serving a full menu and delectable beverages with table and beach side service at your complimentary chaise lounge. Five others restaurants along Orient Beach : Bikini, Kontiki, Kakao and Waikiki, La Playa. With your personalized customer card, that will be given to you by our hostesses, at your arrival, you will be given full credit at these restaurants and be able to pay directly at the hotel at your departure.

Activities

On the white sand beach lapped by the turquoise blue water of the Caribbean Sea, a variety of water sports and restaurants are available. There are also two lighted tennis courts, and opportunity for boat rental, water-skiing, jet ski, snorkelling, parasailing, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, windsurf, sailing trips, hobby cat, horseback riding, golf, Island round trip by car, day trips to St Barths, Prickly Pear, Sandy Island, Pinel, and Tintamarre.
