Introduction

The Resort is situated on the best diving beach in the world, as voted by a popular men's magazine, on the leeward side of this quaint Caribbean island. The food is unrivalled on the island. Location

Bohio dive Resort sits on the white sand of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, idyllic Pillory Beach, on the sleepy Caribbean island of Grand Turk. Grand Turk is just seven miles long by a mile and a half at its widest point, so one can get about easily by bike or scooter. From Bohio, Cockburn town is just a short stroll along the beach, or guests can take a kayak to a different beach for a change of scene.

Rooms

Bohio resort offers 12 simple, clean rooms and 4 suites with sea views and private balconies, just a few steps from the beach. All rooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, cable TV, fridges and unsuited shower rooms. The suites have kitchenettes.

Hotel Dining

Located within the Bohio Resort, The Guanahani Restaurant is open every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The cooks have created a delicious blend of local and international flavours which are undeniably the best on the island. Open every day The Bohio Bar menu offers all-day snacks featuring local fish and conch as well as more traditional burgers and Paninis.

Activities

With the beautiful beach and dive shack right outside, a pool and pool bar to lounge beside, there are plenty to see and do at the Resort. Grand Turk’s main attraction is obviously the SCUBA diving, and at Bohio they have their own dive operation, catering solely for their guests. Water sport activities also include snorkeling and the equipment as well as underwater Propulsion Vehicles, kayaks and Hobby cats are for hire, with sailing lessons available. Excursions offered include boat excursions to local snorkeling sites, whale watching over the winter season, free diving for conch, stingray encounters and trips to other islands and cays. Deep sea fishing for tuna or mahi-mahi is also available. At seven miles by just over a mile, it’s easy to tour the island. Visit nearby Cockburn town, the Salinas left from the salt-raking industry, the mangroves or the old lighthouse or enjoy some nature watching and look out for flamingos in the salt ponds, ospreys nesting in the old windmills, hummingbirds and iguanas as well as whales, dolphins and other marine life in the protected marine park. Guest can finally practice Hatha yoga by the poolside, in the early morning or at sunset, ending under a canopy of stars, with the gentle sound of waves providing the soundtrack. The yoga teachers offer classes for a range of abilities, from gentle to advanced, taking students mindfully through the basic asanas (postures) to different levels using breath work (pranayama) and focus to explore the benefits of personal yoga practice. Group classes or private tuition available. Mats are also available.
