Bird of Paradise Villa, Anguilla

Introduction

Named after the exotic birds of Papua New Guinea, the Bird of Paradise is designed in an Asian Tropical style with meandering, lagoon-style pools that weave between the four buildings to create an intimate compound that is lush with vegetation. There are no large resorts on this secluded beach, so privacy is assured.

Location

Bird of Paradise Villa is located on a small bluff overlooking the Caribbean Sea and the islands of St. Barth’s and St. Martin. The beautiful, curved Sandy Hill Bay beach is a short walk down a path and the sheltered bay and beach offer excellent swimming and snorkelling as well as a safe harbour for a small yacht. The Bird of Paradise offers a unique blend of exquisite detail, spacious comfort and quiet ambiance.

Rooms

The Bird offers a large interior living room with fold-back walls, as well as several exterior living areas, one with a fireplace. The outdoor ambiance is captured in large verandas and terrace patios, both shaded and open. A large Indonesian bale or daybed is situated in a grove of palm trees overlooking the sea and is perfect for massages and naps. There are four bedroom suites with an office that can serve as a fifth bedroom. The placement of the suites, each with its own balcony and equal, panoramic views, assures individual privacy for guests. All suites are air-conditioned and Ceiling Fans Throughout and have their own private patio with a panoramic view. Each has a mini bar with refrigerator, coffee service, Frette linens, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryers, and Bvlgari amenities, safe. Technical amenities include Flat Screen TV (2),DVD/VCR (2), CD Player, Sound system with 9 zones, Fax/Scanner/Copier, High speed internet, wireless, Free calls to US, Canada and Europe with Net phone, Intercom and Paging System, and Security system with central station for emergencies.

Hotel Dining

There are four dining experiences. There is a table for 10 on the covered veranda with panoramic views of the beach and nearby islands; an indoor dining room, usually used for breakfast, a table in the exterior living area as well as a round table at the entrance in a covered area. The private villa chef can, for example, create sumptuous tailored menus. Treat yourself and your guests to the delicious culinary artistry of Chef Zoe Tise Hodge. Price and menu upon request but it is more advantageous to make a weekly arrangement. Other amenities like a Gas Grill, Fireplace with Grill and an Ice Machine ease your meals preparation.

Activities

Two fresh water pools. The main pool meanders between the buildings, patios and lush landscaping. The master suite is reached by crossing a bridge over the main pool. In addition, the master suite has its own private plunge pool. In addition, the villa provides Beach Towels, Chairs and Umbrellas.

Services

They include a Meet and Greet service at the Airport, a Gift Package in the Refrigerator, Concierge, Property Manager, Maid/Personal Laundry, Pool Keeper, Gardener, and security Monitoring Station. For a fee, the staff can help you with car rental, Chef, butler, nanny, baby-sitter, secretary, Spa Treatments, excursions, and grocery shopping.
