Europe. Norwegian Cruise Line is the innovator in cruise travel with a 46-year history of breaking the boundaries of traditional cruising, most notably with the introduction of Freestyle Cruising® which has revolutionized the industry by allowing guests more freedom and flexibility.
Today, Norwegian Cruise Line has 12 purpose-built Freestyle Cruising ships, providing the guests the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed cruise holiday on some of the newest and most contemporary ships at sea. The company has two 4.000-passenger vessels, Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway, under construction for delivery in January 2014, along with one larger “Breakaway Plus” vessel for delivery in autumn 2015.
Expand your horizons. Let Norwegian Cruise Line take you to the most exciting cruise destinations on earth and then discover them your way with the freedom of Freestyle Cruising®. Norwegian Cruise Line cruises in Alaska, Bermuda, Caribbean, Bahamas & North America as well as in Europe, Mediterranean & the Baltic, Canada & New England, Hawai'i, Panama Canal and the Transatlantic.
Aboard the Freestyle Cruising fleet, you can choose from a wide range of stateroom categories to suite every taste and budget. Available stateroom categories include for example well-appointed inside staterooms for price-conscious customers, ocean view staterooms, staterooms with private balcony as well as a large and luxurious suite complex on the Jewel-Class ships as well as aboard Norwegian Epic and the Breakaway-Class. This includes the unique Courtyard Villas which have access to a private Courtyard, swimming pool and sun deck as well as two Garden Villas, featuring three separate bedrooms, bathrooms and a living room. Both offer butler and concierge service.
Freestyle Cruising® is characterized in particular by having no fixed dining times, no formal dress codes, a great variety of lounges, bars, theatres as well as other entertainment and activity options. On board the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet, you find up to 27 different dining options without set dining times and opening hours from 17:30 to midnight (order until 22:30).
Thus, you can choose when, where and with whom to dine. In fact, if you prefer, you can dine in a different restaurant each night of your cruise. Should you, however, prefer to dine at the same table and/or at the same time every evening, respective reservations may be arranged on board. Norwegian Cruise Line’s new ships feature a restaurant seating guide, displayed on flat-screen televisions placed in key areas on the ship. They show each restaurant’s current occupancy status as well as possible waiting times. If a restaurant is fully occupied at a certain time and you would like to wait for an opening, you will get a pager that works all over the ship and will be informed as soon as the table is available. For those who like to dress up a little bit, there is one designated restaurant with a more elegant ambiance available on every ship.
Together with extensive sport and wellness facilities, Norwegian Cruise Line also offers a varied entertainment program. Components include everything from computer and cooking classes to yoga and shore excursions with mountain biking or horseback riding.
Resort casual sums up life on board.
With up to one crew member per stateroom, Norwegian Cruise Line provides the highest crew-to-guest ration in its class. These large numbers of crew members guarantee a high service level and enable the cruise line to offer longer opening hours of the many public rooms and restaurants according to the Freestyle Cruising concept. All Norwegian Cruise Line ships have a very ample wellness area, the Mandara Spa®, and a beauty salon with hairdresser. In the spa your will be pampered from head to toe. The wellness area features Finnish saunas, steam rooms, a Thalassotherapy pool, hot tub and heated relaxation chairs. It’s a romantic ambiance in a comfortable and modern setting. Come on board Star Clipper, Star Flyer, or Royal Clipper
to get the feeling of the sailors of the old days where adventure begins.
The ships currently sail throughout the Caribbean, Mediterranean, the Baltic, Costa Rica, and Panama Canal. More in details, the Star Clipper’s Caribbean itineraries begin in St. Maarten or Barbados. From St Maarten, her Treasure Islands voyage sails northward to the Leeward and the British Virgin Islands. Her Leeward Islands voyage ventures southward to Guadeloupe and Dominica, sampling the best of the Leeward Islands. The flagship, Royal Clipper, sails from Barbados on alternating voyages to the Grenadines and the Windward Islands. The Caribbean venues where Star Clipper and Royal Clipper sail are famous for the glorious sailing weather, and every voyage promises the thrill of passage making under full sail.
Double bed or twin beds that can be converted to queen, marble bathroom, private safe, television with in-cabin video, DVD player, direct-dial telephone, hairdryer and comfortable furnishings. The decor is tastefully traditional. Burnished brass fittings and mahogany bright work recall our nautical heritage. Soft natural fabrics reflect the colours of the sun, sea and sky. Prints of famous clipper ships and sailing yachts grace the walls. Everything is immaculately maintained and your steward knows exactly when to appear or disappear. On Royal Clipper, 14 deluxe suites offer the ultimate in cruising comfort, with private veranda, whirlpool tub and 24-hour room service. All but six of her 98 cabins are outside, and for the ultimate indulgence, two 355 square foot owner’s suites may be combined to accommodate up to eight guests.

Or savour a full breakfast with fresh tropical fruits and crisp bacon, grilled sausage, smoked salmon and omelettes cooked to order in the dining room. At lunch, a marvellous buffet of seafood, salads and grilled favourites awaits your pleasure. If the day includes a stop at one of the paradisiacal islands we frequent, you might also be treated to a festive outdoor barbecue on shore. When evening comes, our elegantly appointed dining room featuring a splendid collection of paintings of sailing ships becomes the setting for the chef’s finest culinary presentations, designed to please the eye and the palate. All complemented by equally fine wines. You’ll find our service to be friendly and gracious, befitting a sophisticated restaurant. Of course, Star Clippers would not presume to dictate your seating preferences. The dress code? No need for formal gowns and black tie, casual elegance is the order of the day and each night.
To entertain passengers, Star Clippers bring local performers on board to give you an authentic taste of the local music and arts. You’ll enjoy the conviviality of fellow shipmates while a live band plays tropical tunes from a real paradise. The Captain and crew are superb improvisers of the kind of light-hearted fun you’ll only find on Star Clippers. The Captain’s daily briefing on deck is wonderfully informative, and a chance to hear some great story-telling as well. And there are other events and activities during the day and night that have evolved from Star Clippers’ sailing heritage. In fact, all Star Clippers passengers say that they enjoy Star Clippers ‘ easy-going informality and it makes the cruise so special.
All Star Clippers ships feature open-seating dining in an elegantly appointed dining room, our convivial indoor-outdoor Tropical Bar and Piano Bar, and an Edwardian style library where a Belle Époque fireplace glows with warmth that reflects the friendliness and enthusiasm of Star Clippers’ hospitable officers and crew.

This trip combine two English speaking Islands, both offering a different approach of the Caribbean. Barbados has a very rich touristic industry and its infrastructure is very well developed. The Island recommends many activities, the Atlantic Ocean is very active on the East coast, perfect for windsurfing
