From St Maarten, her Treasure Islands voyage sails northward to the Leeward and the British Virgin Islands. Her Leeward Islands voyage ventures southward to Guadeloupe and Dominica, sampling the best of the Leeward Islands. The flagship, Royal Clipper, sails from Barbados on alternating voyages to the Grenadines and the Windward Islands. The Caribbean venues where Star Clipper and Royal Clipper sail are famous for the glorious sailing weather, and every voyage promises the thrill of passage making under full sail.
Double bed or twin beds that can be converted to queen, marble bathroom, private safe, television with in-cabin video, DVD player, direct-dial telephone, hairdryer and comfortable furnishings. The decor is tastefully traditional. Burnished brass fittings and mahogany bright work recall our nautical heritage. Soft natural fabrics reflect the colours of the sun, sea and sky. At lunch, a marvellous buffet of seafood, salads and grilled favourites awaits your pleasure. If the day includes a stop at one of the paradisiacal islands we frequent, you might also be treated to a festive outdoor barbecue on shore. When evening comes, our elegantly appointed dining room featuring a splendid collection of paintings of sailing ships becomes the setting for the chef’s finest culinary presentations, designed to please the eye and the palate. All complemented by equally fine wines. You’ll find our service to be friendly and gracious, befitting a sophisticated restaurant. Oualie Beach Resort is a very unique Caribbean experience. The property is owned by the Yearwood family of Nevis whose ancestors came to the Caribbean from the UK in 1650. Oualie Beach in Nevis reflects the unspoiled beauty of this island, which seems to resemble the Caribbean as it once was. Nevis villas and hotels blend into the surroundings along with world-class golf courses and pretty, uncrowded beaches.
Oualie Beach is a small three and a half star Beachfront Resort located on a sheltered cove on the Leeward side of Nevis. Children and the less efficient swimmers feel safe and at ease in the water. Oualie Bay is a crescent shaped cove with about 1100 feet of sandy beach. The sand is a mixture of coral and land sand creating a mix of golden and white sand. The resort is unique in that it offers the high standard of facilities, services and range of activities that are normally associated with a big resort, whilst maintaining the friendly, associated with informal feel of a small, family run Inn.
The Hotel is right on the beach and has just 32 rooms located in gingerbread Caribbean style cottages. Oualie Beach hotel has a wide selection of Villas and Hotel rooms. The rooms are spaciously scattered along the beach in single and two storey Gingerbread Cottages that reflect the traditional Caribbean style architecture of the Island. All rooms have large, cool screened verandas offering uninterrupted views of the beach and neighbouring island of St Kitts. The four room classifications are Deluxe, Studio, Premier, and Executive Suite. They are all equipped air-conditioning, fridge/mini bar, iron and board, hairdryer, shower, alarm clock/radio, cable TV, coffee maker and electronic safe. The Deluxe rooms offer a choice of either one queen sized mahogany four poster bed or two double beds. The studios all have doors that can connect to adjacent Deluxe rooms to form suites that are ideal for families. The spacious Premier rooms are appointed with all mahogany furniture including a king-sized four-poster bed and have also a VCR. The Executive Suites are one bedroom suites and can connect to an adjacent Deluxe room with two double beds that are ideal for families
The beachside restaurant, serves Caribbean and continental cuisine at reasonable prices. Children are very welcome at Oualie and a children's menu is available. The bar area is very relaxed and the restaurant is purposely casual, so relax, you do not have to dress up fancy just to have dinner. Tuesday night is the "Oualie Beach Boys band," an eclectic group of acoustic guitars and homemade instruments that actually sound superb. Guests are actively encouraged to join the band unless totally incapable of rhythm!
On site are most of the activities that one would normally associate with a much larger resort. These include snorkelling, spa treatments, scuba, windsurfing, mountain bikes, ocean kayaks, sailing, game fishing, car rentals and guest email access. Our staff can arrange for nearby rainforest hikes, golf, tennis and horseback riding.
At Oualie Beach, the top priority is making sure you're 100% thrilled with your Nevis vacation rentals or Hotel accommodation. There is an activities centre on site which offers scuba diving, mountain biking, snorkelling, sunfish sailing, sport fishing boats, windsurfing school, hobie cats, kayaks and day sailing adventures on yachts and catamarans.
