Thus, you can choose when, where and with whom to dine. In fact, if you prefer, you can dine in a different restaurant each night of your cruise. Should you, however, prefer to dine at the same table and/or at the same time every evening, respective reservations may be arranged on board. Norwegian Cruise Line’s new ships feature a restaurant seating guide, displayed on flat-screen televisions placed in key areas on the ship. They show each restaurant’s current occupancy status as well as possible waiting times. If a restaurant is fully occupied at a certain time and you would like to wait for an opening, you will get a pager that works all over the ship and will be informed as soon as the table is available. Captain Oliver's waterfront resort is uniquely located on the French/Dutch border on the island of St. Martin/St. Maarten. The resort is often described as a charming intimate getaway off-the-beaten-path, yet the unique location offers easy accessibility to the island's other attributes. Captain Oliver's Boutique Hotel was

designed to integrate with nature - the hillside bungalows along the waterfront are nestled among tropical plants, natural rock outcroppings and winding paths.

Captain Oliver's waterfront resort is approximately 30 minutes to Princess Juliana International Airport. The resort is also 25 minutes to Marigot, the capital of Saint Martin (French) and 10 minutes to Philipsburg, the capital of Sint Maarten (Dutch).

The spacious junior suites have private terraces or balconies offering spectacular views. - The Garden view accommodations are 520 square feet and have sliding glass doors that open up to the garden, but no terrace or balcony. Garden view rooms can be adjoining. Each has a king size bed and a twin bed and an optional rollaway.

Captain Oliver's Restaurant was established in 1982 by Parisian restaurateur Olivier Lange who emphasizes fresh seafood, French and Creole cuisine. The open-air restaurant is built on pilings above the bay. Below the restaurant is an aquarium for sharks, turtles, tarpon and other native marine life that can be viewed through the glass floor. There is also a large live lobster tank housed beneath the restaurant. The Iguana Bar is located adjacent to Captain Oliver's Restaurant and the swimming pool. It has an open terrace with tikis that overlook the ocean with St. Barts on the horizon. The Dinghy Dock Bar and Restaurant on the marina is famous for its Happy Hour and also serves breakfast, lunch and dinner featuring casual American style food and a variety of daily specials. The Quai Ouest Restaurant and Bar is on the hillside overlooking the marina. It's a family operated Italian Restaurant featuring authentic Italian cuisine. The Yacht Club Piano Bar is also located on the marina. The interactive musical ambiance features Niko, a singing piano player that welcomes you to sing along.

Activities

Dawn Beach is located just across the bay. Free taxi-boat service to and from the beach is provided for hotel guests - it takes just a couple of minutes to get there. Due to the extensive offshore reef, on calm days it's great for snorkelling and on windy days there is a nice surf break that is fun for body surfing. Also there is a sandy area in front of the hotel along the seaside boardwalk with some tikis that is private for hotel guests. (Presently being refurbished to include a sunning deck and a floating platform). The glass wall of the fresh water swimming pool designates the French/Dutch border. Located on Captain Oliver's Marina is the Scuba Diving Center. Here you can rent or buy top-of-the-line scuba diving gear or also purchase marine equipment and supplies. The Activities Desk is located on the Marina and is open from 8:00AM - 11:00AM and 4:00PM - 7:00PM.
