The Cunard Line means emotions, passion and nostalgia as well as timeless, classical, traditional, inspired, royal….

In 1839, the company was founded by Samuel Cunard and in 1840 the first 14 days Transatlantic crossings started. In 1936, the Queen Mary with 80.774 tons, is the biggest ship of the world then the Queen Elizabeth followed in 1940 with its 83.673 tons. Even bigger in 1968, the Queen Elizabeth 2, is the last Cunard ship to be constructed in an English shipyard. Then in 2004 comes the Queen Mary 2, followed in 2007 by the Queen Victoria. In 2008, the Queen Elizabeth 2 is sold to Dubai where it became a hotel and in 2010 the Queen Elizabeth is added to the fleet. The Queen Mary 2 has 2‘592 passengers, the Queen Elizabeth, 2‘058 passengers and the Queen Victoria has 1‘980 passengers.

Your itinerary

The itineraries are rich and various. Destinations like Mediterranean, Norwegian Fjords, Baltic or Black Seas and Canarias are the Cunard Classics. The Queen Elizabeth, for the 2011-12 season, from January to April will offer a round the world cruise from and to Southampon via the Caribbean, Panama Canal, the South Seas, Australia, South East Asia, Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean. From May to October, she will cruise in Europe with some cruises in the Caribbean and New England. Finally she also offers initiation cruises on July 01st and 13th, every time 2 days. Your Cabin in the Britannia category: A large choice of cabins from the Interior (14 - 18m²), Exterior (15 - 19m²) to the one with balcony (22 - 25m²).

Your Cabin in the Princess Grill category : Princess Suite (31 – 37m2 ) with the following advantages : Dining at the Princess Grill Restaurant, dining a la carte in the suite, access to the Queens Grill Lounge, one service (18h30 - 21h00) at restaurant Princess Grill, concierge service, fruit basket, personalized letterhead paper.

Your Cabin in the Queens Grill category : the Queens Suite (approx. 47m2 ), the  Penthouse Suite (47 - 70m2), the Royal Suite (approx. 74m2) or the Grand Duplex Apartment (approx. 209m2) and the below advantages : Dining at the Queens Grill Restaurant, evenings appetizers, a welcome champagne bottle, minibar, floral arrangment, and buttler service. The installations and amenities are the same for all cabins: Sparkling wine bottle, bathrobe, slippers, hairdryer, fridge, safe, television, radio, laptop connexion, telephone, electricity 110/220v, daily activity program, room service and nightly turndown service.

Dining

Britannia Premier Restaurant offers two services: The first one at 18h00 and the second one at 20h30. The Princess Grill and Queens Grill Restaurants offer a unique service between 18h30 and 21h00. The quality is totally independent from the category. Every afternoon, in a delightful environment, the traditional Tea Time is served with sandwiches and scones in the full English tradition.

while travelling on board in the best conditions and in the trusty environment of Cunard. On board the muffled ambiance and glamour is present in all the different refined  lounges.
