Introduction

Tucked in a private lagoon on the lush island of Virgin Gorda, the third largest of the British Virgin Islands, lies Biras Creek Resort, a hidden oasis set upon a 140 acre nature reserve amidst a white sand beach and the sparkling turquoise waters of the North Sound, Atlantic Ocean, and Caribbean Sea. Location

Biras Creek Resort lies 12 miles east of Road Town, Tortola, capital of the British Virgin Islands, and approximately 30 miles northeast of St. Thomas, in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Virgin Gorda is easily accessible via boat, private air charter or helicopter from Tortola.

Rooms

Biras Creek is comprised of 31 luxurious newly-remodeled suites set along the Atlantic Ocean, most with stunning ocean views. There are 22 Ocean Suites are positioned along the water’s edge, enjoying uninterrupted views of the sea. Then, six Garden Suites are tucked back in the naturally landscaped gardens. All Ocean and Garden Suites feature bedrooms with king size bed, separate sitting area, outdoor garden showers, tropical waffle-weave robes, iPod sound systems, furnished verandas, personal Caloi bicycles on which to explore the sprawling resort (as there are no roads to and from or cars at Biras), and numerous other amenities. Three inter-connecting suites are available to make two bedrooms, two bathroom suites. Also, two Grand Suites sit along the ocean and feature larger bedrooms with king-sized beds, large bathrooms and sitting rooms.            One Premier Suite is a spacious oceanfront two bedroom, two bathroom suite with a generous sitting room and two verandas. Finally, the Grand and Premier suites feature all the amenities of the Ocean and Garden suites in addition to Sony LCD TVs, DVD players, Bose iPod Sound Docks and private plunge pools.

Hotel Dining

Guests have cna chose from different plan meals, from breakfast only, breakfast and lunch to full board. Each day, an afternoon tea is served, complimentary at the Biras Creek restaurant.  This open air venue is heralded as having some of the finest dining in all of the Caribbean, and features an extensive wine list and a daily changing menu of the freshest cuisine inspired by local flavors. Open to both resort guests and those just passing by on boat, the restaurant is also home to an outdoor bar and private dining room.

A swimming pool and private beach are also available to make your stay comfortable. The water sport instructors are on the beach from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm to give complimentary sailing and windsurfing lessons.

At the resort, guests can enjoy the Arawak Room with DVD player and movie library with reading and DVD library with over 300 books and movies. There is also a fitness Center and Spa facility.
